About Access Care
Established in 1994, Access Care is a long-established, independent, family-run advisory service introducing experienced self-employed live-in carers to private households across the United Kingdom.
We specialise in supporting individuals and families who wish to remain in the comfort, familiarity and privacy of home whilst receiving carefully considered one-to-one support.
Our approach is calm, discreet and highly personal. We understand that arranging care is rarely simply a practical decision; it is often an emotional and deeply personal one involving family dynamics, changing circumstances and important conversations around independence, continuity and quality of life.
Since 1994, we have been committed to introducing experienced live-in carers whose support is shaped not only around practical care requirements, but around personality, lifestyle, values and the established rhythm of the household itself.
Large enough to provide national capability, yet personal enough to offer genuine continuity and familiarity, we support households across the United Kingdom with carefully curated live-in care introductions tailored to each individual situation.
Why Choose Live-in Care?
For those requiring more support than occasional visits can provide, whilst wishing to remain in the comfort and familiarity of home, live-in care offers a highly personalised alternative to residential care.
Live-in care allows individuals to retain independence, routines, companionship and the reassurance of familiar surroundings, whilst receiving one-to-one support tailored entirely around their own lifestyle and preferences.
Support can range from companionship and daily living assistance through to personal care, dementia support, post-operative recovery and more complex long-term care requirements.
Many families value the continuity, flexibility and reassurance that live-in care provides, particularly where maintaining established routines, relationships, pets and home life remain deeply important.
Live-in care is also particularly well suited to couples who wish to remain together at home whilst receiving personalised support.
The Access Care Approach
At the heart of our service is a simple philosophy: we listen carefully.
Every household is different, which is why we take time to properly understand each individual situation before recommending suitable carers. We consider not only practical care requirements, but also temperament, personality, lifestyle, routines and the natural dynamic of the home.
Our role is to guide families thoughtfully through the process from the very first conversation onwards, helping bring clarity, reassurance and confidence during what can often feel like an uncertain time.
We introduce carefully vetted self-employed live-in carers able to support with a wide range of requirements including:
- Companionship and daily living support
- Personal care
- Dementia and Alzheimer’s care
- Post-hospital recovery
- Couples care
- Respite and short-term arrangements
- Long-term complex care
- Palliative and end-of-life support
Many of the households we support value discretion, continuity and flexibility. Our introductory model allows families to build long-standing relationships with carers whilst maintaining a highly personalised approach to care at home.
“Over thirty years on, her original vision continues to drive the company forward. Passed from mother to daughter, Access Care is now run by Tiggy Bradshaw and a handpicked team of care and recruitment professionals. The team take a personal interest in each, and every client and care worker that is registered with the agency.”

Our Carers
Our carers come from a wide range of backgrounds and bring with them varied experience, personalities and specialist skills.
Some have worked in care throughout their careers, whilst others bring valuable life experience and transferable professional backgrounds alongside their care expertise.
All carers introduced through Access Care are carefully vetted and selected through a thorough registration and screening process designed to maintain high standards of professionalism, safety and suitability.
Many carers support clients living with conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, stroke recovery, reduced mobility, complex medical conditions and palliative care needs.
Just as importantly, we place significant importance on compatibility, recognising that successful live-in care depends not only on practical ability, but also on trust, companionship and the ability to integrate naturally into the home.

Typical assignment: Care workers are offered bookings for which they can apply. Individual profiles are then offered to our clients for selection. Our bookings range in number of weeks, location and levels of care needed. Each booking is unique as each of our clients are unique.
